Our teaching grows out of real filmmaking, creative computing, research and experimentation.
We combine practical making with critical thinking, developing transferable skills and creative judgement rather than dependence on any particular tool or platform.
The people behind VSL
Virtual Story Lab is led by Fiona Bavinton and Clare Cahill, bringing together experience in filmmaking, software development, creative research and education.
Our courses and workshops draw directly on that experience, connecting the realities of creative production with the skills and understanding needed to work confidently with new technologies.
